The Hewlett Foundation’s Environment Program is pleased to announce an open call for proposals for the Climate Finance portfolio. The Foundation is looking to generate new grantmaking in support of sustainable retail banking, with the overarching goal of mobilizing approximately $1 trillion yearly to solve climate change. Organizations working to drive investments into climate change solutions across the retail banking sector (not limited to U.S. 501(c)(3) organizations) are encouraged to apply.
The Foundation has posted this announcement on the website, located here that details the purpose of this RFP, as well as the criteria we will be using to evaluate proposal applications. There are two preliminary proposal applications types – one for single organization applicants, and one for multiple partner organization applicants.
The Foundation will be accepting applications starting on Monday, April 2, 2018 through May 1, 2018. There will be an informational call on Monday, April 9, 2018 at 9:00-10:00 AM PST to answer any questions that may arise once the applications are made public. Please RSVP to climatefinance@hewlett.org to receive dial-in information.
The foundation encourage eligible organizations to apply for this unique opportunity, and also hope that you will share this information with your colleagues working on aligning the retail banking sector with climate change goals.
