The TBLI CONFERENCE(TM) brings together the world’s leading thinkers, entrepreneurs and investors, for the largest global networking and learning event on sustainable investment. The tenth annual TBLI CONFERENCE(TM) will be held in Amsterdam from November 13-14, 2008 at the NH Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky. Triple Bottom Line Investment (TBLI) is a rapidly growing form of investing that integrates financial, social, and environmental benefits.

The Responsible Investor reports that among respondents to the RI Landscape Asset Managers 2008 Survey, "98 fund managers, including the world’s largest houses, running assets of $19.4 trillion in assets, said current levels of responsible investment represented more than 10% of assets at $2.2 trillion. The managers predict that by 2010 this figure will have reached $2.94 trillion – a rise of $700bn or 35%."

The theme of TBLI CONFERENCE(TM) EUROPE 2008 is How Will Climate Change Impact The Banking Sector? The event will commence with an official greeting by Job Cohen, Mayor of Amsterdam. With special promotion and sponsorship by the City of Amsterdam and major sustainable investment institutions, more than 600 investment experts and analysts are expected to attend this year’s conference.

TBLI proudly announces as keynote speakers Paul Watchman, the principal author of the groundbreaking Freshfields Report for the United Nations Environment Program Finance Initiative; Vicky Sharpe, President and CEO of Sustainable Development Technologies Canada, who will present Emerging Trends in Cleantech Financing; Alain Dromer, CEO, Aviva Investors; Claudia Langer, the Founder of a new web 2.0 platform for establishing a sustainable lifestyle and strategic consumption; Jeremy Leggett, Founder and Executive Chairman of Solarcentury, United Kingdom, discussing The Energy Security Drivers For Alternative Energy Investments and Robert Swan, OBE, a famed polar explorer and an environmental leader dedicated to the preservation of Antarctica on Sustainable Leadership.

Experts and investment professionals will be attending 22 thematic workshops and over 80 expert presentations discussing the latest analyses and recommendations on global climate change.
