The Environment Agency Pension Fund have joined forces with Church of England Pensions Board, and the Church Commissioners for England, in writing to the Chair of Royal Dutch Shell setting out our position on the ‘Follow This’ shareholder resolution at Shell’s forthcoming Annual General Meeting on the 22nd of May.
The resolution requires Shell to publish targets for ‘scope 3 emissions’ which are emissions from the use of Shell’s products. The resolution is to make Shell set and publish targets aligned with the Paris Climate Agreement goal to limit global warming to well below 2°C.
